SRF Joins the Combined Federal Campaign

SynGAP Research Fund is excited to announce that we are now part of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). This is a big win for us.

What is the CFC?

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is one of the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaigns, with CFC zones throughout the country and overseas raising millions of dollars each year. CFC is the official workplace giving campaign for the federal community, offering federal employees and retirees the opportunity to support the causes they care about by giving to their charity (or charities) of choice from the thousands that participate.

Why this matters

  • Steady Funding: Federal employees often opt for payroll deductions, giving us consistent support throughout the year.
  • Generous Donors: The federal workforce has a strong tradition of charitable giving, which can greatly boost our research efforts.
  • Wider Reach: The CFC connects us with a broad network of donors across the country and internationally, raising more awareness for SYNGAP1-Related Disorders.

Credibility and growth

  • Trusted Organization: Joining the CFC means we’ve met high standards, proving our transparency and effectiveness.
  • Operational Excellence: This process has strengthened our internal operations, making us even more efficient.

New opportunities

  • Workplace Campaigns: Federal agencies host events that give us direct access to potential donors.
  • Matching Gifts: Some agencies offer matching programs, potentially doubling donations.
  • Networking: Being part of the CFC opens doors to collaborations and partnerships with other charities and government agencies.

This is a significant milestone for SRF, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our community and donors.
