Diagnosed in 2018, Leon’s parents wanted, “to make the impossible possible by finding successful treatments to give me a chance for a normal life.” Leon and Friends e.V., a non-profit, brought focus to research on SYNGAP1 missense variants.
Leon’s untimely passing brings a sharper focus to the urgency for finding a treatment to help manage the challenges SYNGAP1-related disorders brings.
