Changes Study, Adults – an Investigation into Behaviour and Physiology in SYNGAP1

Please note: This is a new ‘Changes’ study as of October 2024. Previous ‘Changes’ study assessed 2-15 year olds.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Participants must be between the ages of 16-25.
  • Have a diagnosis of SYNGAP1-related intellectual disability or 2) have no diagnosed neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • This study is held in person at the Kennedy Tower in the University of Edinburgh.
  • Travel expenses may be reimbursed.
  • After first visit, a follow-up, in-person visit will be scheduled one year later.
  • Some assessments may be completed online.
