Craig and his wife Sara, both community pharmacists from Kansas, have spent the last 10 years working in retail pharmacy. They met in pharmacy school and built their life and careers together—never imagining the path that would unfold when their son Camden was diagnosed with SYNGAP1-Related Disorders.
Camden is full of energy, joy, and curiosity. While his diagnosis has brought many challenges, it has also introduced their family to a powerful and inspiring rare disease community. Through the CURE SYNGAP1 organization, Craig and Sara found not only critical support, but also a sense of hope and direction.
As CURE SYNGAP1 volunteers, they are committed to giving back to the community that helped them feel less alone. With their healthcare background and lived experience, they hope to help bridge the gap between science and everyday care. More than anything, they want other families to feel supported, seen, and empowered.
Craig and Sara have always loved to travel—exploring new places and chasing adventure together. These days, they’re still on the move, finding creative ways to share that love of discovery with Camden. Whether it’s a road trip or a flight to participate in a SYNGAP1 study, they continue to uncover beautiful places and unforgettable moments—now through Camden’s eyes.
