Heather Mestemaker

CURE SYNGAP1 State Ambassador, Pennsylvania
Past Board Member

Heather brings to CURE SYNGAP1 over two and a half decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. She has spent her career as a Commercial leader in specialty and rare diseases, and her work has spanned the product lifecycle from development to commercialization to patent expiry. Heather has held Vice President-level leadership roles across the US and global realms. She currently runs a small LLC, providing commercial and marketing services to small and mid-size biopharmaceutical companies. This wealth of experience has afforded her the opportunity to partner with CURE SYNGAP1 and to provide valuable insights into CURE SYNGAP1 areas of focus.

On the personal front, Heather obtained her education from the Hotchkiss School, Yale University, the Harvard School of Public Health, and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Heather is the proud mom of 3 children, the youngest of whom was diagnosed with SYNGAP1-Related Disorders in 2016. Heather, her husband, and children enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible, as well as spending family time and movie nights snuggled up with their Golden Retriever.
