Website Architect & Maintenance
Dan is a Front-End Engineer at Automattic, Inc. – the company behind WordPress.com, Jetpack, WooCommerce, Tumblr, and a bunch of other products that you may have seen around the web. He volunteers his time with CURE SYNGAP1 though designing and developing the website, along with continued maintenance and feature additions that come along the way.
His youngest daughter, Elsie, was diagnosed with SYNGAP1-Related Disorders through Whole Exome Sequencing in July of 2020. Dan, along with his wife Jen, quickly joined the CURE SYNGAP1 community to learn more about the disorder and gained invaluable insight from parents and volunteers. They now volunteer their time with CURE SYNGAP1 with the hope of supporting the organization in its mission to accelerate science to ultimately find a treatment or cure.
