CURE SYNGAP1 Volunteer
Emily Brimsek is a social science researcher who has led studies for multiple organizations and federal agencies, including the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Department of Education. She holds a PhD in History from Brown University.
Emily is mother to two daughters, ages 6 and 3, the younger of whom received a diagnosis of SYNGAP1-Related Disorders in 2023 at 22 months old. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband, her girls, and their puppy Ranger.
